The main objective of Hydro 2025 is to bring together the global hydropower community to share experiences, learn about new technical developments, promote best practices and work together to advance hydropower development in the parts of the world that need it most. In addition to new projects, the focus is also on maximising the value of existing hydropower plants through timely rehabilitation, modernisation and improving operational efficiency. The focus is on potential and development plans, the changing role of hydropower, adapting to new challenges, ensuring safety and operational efficiency and protecting the environment.
